We like having spicy and sweet nuts around the house. Especially when we’re talking or watching tv. This brown sugar spiced nut mix is a must try! Check it out.
2 tsps of ground cinnamon.
¼ tsp of ground red pepper.
¼ tsp of ground cardamom.
2 tsps of canola oil.
1 cup of raw pecan halves.
½ cup of raw shelled pumpkin seeds.
6 tbsps of light brown sugar.
½ tsp of salt.
1 egg white.
1 tsp of worcestershire sauce.
½ cup of raw whole almonds.
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, ground red pepper and ground cardamom.
In a second bowl, mix the egg white, oil and worcestershire sauce until the mixture is frothy.
Stir in the nuts, pumpkin seeds and sugar mixture to coat.
In a sprayed baking sheet, spread the nut mixture and bake in a preheated oven to 350° for 10 minutes.
Stir the nuts to break apart and return to the oven.
Bake at 300° for 10 minutes then break again.
